“Nanja-monja” 2016


 In the center of Kashiwa campus, there is a Chinese fringetree, commonly known as “Nanja-monja.” This endangered tree has white flowers looking like snow, and blooms in early May.

 That tree, known as one of the good shaped and the most beautiful Nanja-monja in Japan, was planted in 1957. Many people enjoy the beautiful scenery.
