Delegation Led by the Deputy Governor of Namangan Region, Republic of Uzbekistan, Visits; Exchange of Views on the Theme of “Moral Education”
On Wednesday, July 15, a delegation of nine people from Namangan Region, Republic of Uzbekistan, visited our foundation. The delegation was led by Deputy Governor Otabek Bazarov, who is in charge of educational policy, moral education, and international educational cooperation, and included the head of a branch of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, a professor from a national university, as well as middle school principals, elementary school principals, and kindergarten directors.
This was Deputy Governor Bazarov’s second visit, following his first in June 2024.
Inspired by his previous visit, which deepened his understanding of Japan and moral education based on Moralogy, he visited this time with a strong desire to apply what he had learned to concrete educational policies and school education.
On the day of the visit, the delegation first learned about the life and achievements of our founder, Chikuro Hiroike, at the Hiroike Chikuro Memorial Hall. Subsequently, representatives from the Foundation’s Research, Education, and Public Relations departments provided explanations regarding the educational philosophy of Moralogy and the Foundation’s educational activities.
This was followed by a lively exchange of views on both sides’ approaches to moral education and future methods of collaboration.
As part of efforts to enhance moral education in their country, numerous requests were made, including the dispatch of lecturers from our foundation and exchanges between educators.
There was also great interest in the various educational activities conducted by our foundation, such as lifelong learning courses. Comments included, “We would very much like to take a Moralogy course—how can we do that?” “Could we also participate in the Moral Education Study Group?”—with many expressing a desire to participate in courses and training sessions.
After the meeting, the participating school principals, kindergarten directors, and teachers requested a tour of Reitaku Junior and Senior High School and Reitaku Kindergarten, where they gained a deeper understanding of the actual practice of Reitaku education and the practical implementation of moral education.
We confirmed that we will continue to hold regular discussions, including online meetings, and plan to further promote international exchange and mutual understanding through moral education.
It is highly anticipated that this visit will serve as a catalyst for further deepening exchanges with the Republic of Uzbekistan and contribute to the enhancement and development of moral education in that country.
