Our Foundation Receives Lifetime Achievement Award（Organization）at an International Conference Held in Bangladesh
On December 20, Reiwa 7, the international conference “First International Congress on Kindness: A Key Pillar of Moralogy and Its Impacts on Happiness,” organized by the NGO “Shomman Foundation”（*）, was held in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
At this conference, the Moralogy Foundation was highly commended for its 100 years of continuous research and educational activities in the field of morality and was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award （Organization）.
The conference was chaired by Dr. Motiur Rahman Molla, and the Secretary-General, Dr. Rubaiul Murshed, is a researcher who introduced the Foundation’s founder, Chikuro Hiroike, in his book Why Kindness Matters.
The event was held at the five-star Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka, with approximately 130 participants from countries including the United Kingdom, Australia, Thailand, and Bhutan, in addition to Japan, as well as from within Bangladesh, such as the University of Dhaka and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Three individuals were invited to the main conference and took the stage as Guests of Honor: Osamu Nakayama（Deputy Director of the Lifelong Learning Division at the Moralogy Foundation, Visiting Professor at the Foundation’s Research Institute for Moral Science and Education, and Special Professor at Reitaku University Graduate School）; Takao Inukai（Director of the Research Institute for Moral Science and Education at the Moralogy Foundation and Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Studies at Reitaku University）; and Masaaki Matsushima（Professor at the Faculty of International Studies, Reitaku University）.
Deputy Director Nakayama delivered a presentation titled “Moralogy and Its Contemporary Significance,” Director Inukai spoke on “Moralogy: A Universal Science for Global Peace and Happiness,” and Professor Matsushima presented “Social Well-being and Development: How Do We Maintain the Balance?” All three presentations were highly praised by the participants.
Furthermore, coverage of this international conference and the award ceremony appeared in the Bengali-language national economics and business newspaper Daily Bonik Barta and in The Daily Star, one of the country’s largest English-language daily newspapers.
